One Hundred Nights At The 100 Club

If you have been keeping an eye on this Kickstarter you will see that the project fell short of the target required and was not funded. I have had a chat with one of the photographers and the book will still be produced although maybe in a smaller run at first. I've seen the first mock up and it's going to be well worth the wait. artbleat will publish any future details as soon as I get them.
Although this is not the usual kind of post you will find on artbleat, photography is an art form and it's London-centric. Oh! .. and Kings Davis is a good friend, so I'm giving One Hundred Nights At The 100 Club a big shout.
The book itself is currently in crowdfunding stage, you can have a look at the Kickstarter HERE.
Kings Davis and Darren Russell have been shooting bands and performers at the legendary 100 Club in London's Oxford street for the last however many years and have between them amassed a library spanning four decades.
The pair have teamed up with Stephen Dowling, a music writer and Neil Pond a publishing project manager to create a photographic document of 100 of their favourite nights at the club. Alongside the previously unseen images the book will also include interviews with many of the featured acts, audience members, 100 Club staff and Roger, Richard and Jeff Horton, who between them have been running the club since the mid-1960s.
You can help get this project over the finish line by heading to the Kickstarter page where you can pre-order the book with various reward extras plus get in early on the very limited signed prints on offer.
If you happen to be in London on Thursday 13th April then can see the images and a mock-up of the book and meet the team behind it at a pop up event in Soho.
The event is on from 5pm - 9pm at 21 Berwick Street, London W1F 0PZ
